Dear fellow members of JCI, Dear Senators and Dear Guests,

We have listed the Headquarters and Senators hotels first, followed by the other official hotels in order of how close they are to the Headquarters. Please note, the hotel list is greater than the following list. All of the hotels listed in the web site qualify as an official conference hotel. It means that shuttle services for certain of the Conference events will be available from these hotels.  This list has been created for your convenience.

The Headquarters hotel is located on Erzsebet Korut. Korut means boulevard in Hungarian and while it is one long street it has five different names: Szent Istvan, Terez, Erzsebet, Jozsef and Ferenc. The trams 4 and 6 run on the Korut and stop in front of the Headquarters. About a three minute walk away is a place called Oktogon where there is a Metro stop. Night buses also operate on the Korut. (Each delegate will be able to ride for free on Budapest Transit during the week of the EC2009). (See transportation for detailed information).

We strongly suggest you find a hotel among those listed in our web site, preferably among the following list. These include hotels and hostels offering a wide range of prices and different levels of luxury so you should have no problem finding what you want.

With each hotel we provide the rating as designated by the tourism authority. There is also a number next to the Hotel name and that number corresponds to the large map you can see by clicking here.

We also estimate the travel time for you, with minimum directions.  (Your delegate kit will have specific directions for how to get to every venue or official event).

HOTEL LIST

On this list, hotels are listed by their proximity to the HQ hotel.  You will see the name of the Hotel, the rating of the hotel by the tourism authority and the address.  It will be an estimate of travel time.  The compiler has travelled all of these routes.

Headquarters Hotel – Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal*****, VII. Erzsebet Korut 43-49. Some parties and after hours events will be held here.  All meetings will be held here.

Senator Hotel – Best Western Hungaria Hotel****, VII. Rakoczi ut 90. (Next to the Keleti Railway station.) Ten minutes to HQ by bus and tram or 15 minutes brisk walk.

Ibis Emke***, VII. Akacfa u 1-3. Two minutes to tram stop, five minutes by tram to HQ.  Night bus runs on the Korut.

Mercure Metropol****, VII. Rakoczi ut 58.  Short walk to Tram, five minutes to HQ.  Night bus runs on Korut.  Ten minute brisk walk to HQ.

Novotel Budapest Centrum****, VIII Rakoczi ut 43-46.  Short walk to tram, five minutes to HQ.  15 minute brisk walk to HQ.  Beautifully restored art nouveau building.

Marco Polo Hostel, VII. Nyar utca 6, Short walk to Tram, five minutes to HQ.

K & K Hotel Opera****, VI. Revay utca 24.  Next to the Opera, ten minute walk to HQ.

Hotel Delibab***, VI. Delibab utca 35 at Dozsa Gy. ut.  One block to metro, five minutes to Oktogon.  Very convenient for certain night events.

Ibis Hosok tere***, XIV. Dozsa Gy ut 106.  Two blocks to metro, five minutes to Oktogon.  Convenient for certain night events.

Mercure Museum****, VIII. Trefort utca 2.  Five minute walk to metro or bus, 15 minutes to HQ hotel.

Atlantic Hotel***, VIII. Nepszinhaz utca 55.  15 minutes to HQ hotel.  Night bus nearby.

Mercure Budapest City Center****, V. Vaci utca 20.  Located near Deak ter, 10 minutes to Oktogon. Absolutely in the city centre.

Hotel Thomas***, IX. Liliom utca 44.  Near Boraros ter, 15 minutes by tram to HQ.  Night bus available

Mercure Budapest Duna***, IX. Soroksari ut 12.  Near Boraros ter, 15 minutes by tram to HQ.  Night bus available

Mercure Budapest Korona****, V. Kecskemeti u 14 at Kalvin ter.  20 minutes by tram or metro to Deak ter and then to Oktogon. 15 minute walk to HQ.

Ibis Centrum***, IX. Raday u. 6 near Kalvin ter.  20 minutes by tram or metro to Deak ter, and then to Oktogon. 15 minute walk to HQ.

Domino Hostel, V. Vaci u 77 at Havas. 20 minutes to HQ by Bus and Tram, or metro and metro. Absolutely in the city centre.

Hotel City Inn****, VIII. Futo utca 55 near Ulloi ut.  15 minutes by foot and tram to HQ.

Hotel Arena****, XIV. Ifjusag utca 1-3.  Most convenient hotel possible for certain events (Opening Ceremonies, the Hungarian Night and Awards and the Gala will be held 50 meters from this hotel).  25 minutes by metro and tram to HQ. Night bus available.

Ramada Hotel****, IX. Tompa utca 30-34.  10 minutes by tram to HQ.

Ibis Vaci ut***, XIII. Dozsa Gy ut 65.  20 minutes by metro and tram to HQ.

Novotel Budapest Danube****, II Bem rakpart 33-34 (Buda side).  20 minutes by metro and bus to HQ.  Riverfront hotel with view facing Parliament.

Mercure Budapest Buda****, I Krisztina Korut 41-43 (Buda side near Deli Station). 25 minutes by metro and bus to HQ.  Looks up to the Royal Palace.
